Hello, my name’s Erin Droneburg and I am 19 years young. In high school I fell under the control of Anorexia Nervosa, an eating disorder that all but killed me. At this point in time, as a junior in college, I can consider myself recovered.

I have been down a long, tough and often dark road but I would never go back to redo anything. Everything that this eating disorder has put me through has made me grow into such a strong individual, has brought amazing people into my life, and given me such appreciation for life.

My hope for this blog is to show people a side of me that they would not be able to tell from my outward appearance. I want people to be able to gain inspiration from my story, showing that recovery is possible.

Some other little things about me: I go to Hood College in Frederick, MD and major in communications. I love fashion, I would love to work for a fashion magazine someday. I am very sarcastic; not many people understand my sense of humor, but that’s okay. I work at a wedding and banquet venue and I love my job. I’ve only been there a few months but it’s great. Every time I work, it’s impossible for my heart to not fill with joy seeing the love that is everywhere. I could see myself doing wedding work for the rest of my life.

I really love living a healthy lifestyle. I love exercise, primarily lifting. It gives me such a sense of success seeing my body improve from hard work. I love the way my body feels after a good workout or a nice meal. I am a big foodie and appreciate fine cuisine. I cook as often as I get the chance and love sharing my passion with others around me. Every now and then, I will post some of my favorite recipes on my recipes section, so make sure to check that out!

There’s not much else that I can think of now, so if there is anything else that you would like to know about me, don’t hesitate to contact me!

  1. All I can say is, You go girl! Recovering from anorexia is a pain. I am blessed in that mine never got out of control. Some of my friends were not as lucky. Hang in there, you’ll still have ups and downs, but since you love to cook I’m sure that the worst days are behind you. Good luck!!!
